We enjoyed our first SAXS experiments in Kyushu Synchrotron Light Research Center. After the graduate school entrance examination, we decided to apply our research proposal to the synchrotron radiation research facility and got approved. Masaya, Shogo, and Akane worked hard to prepare for the experiment, and finally, they all got fruitful results in the beamtime. It was a wonderful moment to see their first success in the SAXS experiment. We were excited when the PILATUS detector showed clear scattering patterns! (There is no doubt that I was most excited because I’m the only guy who knows the frustration of failure in SAXS experiments…)

As the facility is located beside Tosu Premium Outlet, we enjoyed window shopping in a lunchtime break. I found a fantastic chocolate drink “Chocolixir” at Godiva. Check it out !!
